About Monika Khuc, LMFT
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience in various clinical mental health environments. I had the opportunity to work with many diverse populations including adults, couples, children, and families. I have worked with clients in outpatient, community-based mental health clinics with dual diagnoses and severely mentally ill populations. I’m a dedicated advocate for promoting quality of life and mental health across all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic demographics.
My experience in providing mental health services to the community has been intrinsically rewarding for me, to observe the positive changes in health and wellness into many peoples lives. I know that no single approach is the right one for every person, and so I believe in taking a collaborative approach, building relationships in varied theoretical, evidence-based, centered forms of therapy including cognitive-behavioral, motivational, narrative, brief/solution focused, to help people meet their needs and achieve their goals.
My passion is to help people heal and find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe. My educational background includes a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University. I have a B.A. in Sociology from San Diego State University.
